Forest Animals 🦔

The Forest Animals are sensory and open-ended toys, handmade and 3D-printed in Belgium by Play This Way. Five recognizable forest inhabitants — woodpecker, owl, fox, hedgehog, and squirrel — to discover, stack, and fantasize with.

Stack the animals to create a wobbly forest tower, imitate the sounds they make, or tell a story together about who lives in the forest. Simple imaginative play that children can direct themselves, with a natural autumn and forest color palette.

Goals to link to:

• Animal recognition: naming forest animals and recognizing their characteristics
• Fine motor skills: grasping and stacking the figures
• Language development: inventing and telling stories about the animals
• Open-ended play: no fixed way of playing, plenty of room for personal imagination
